When you Invite Local Businesses to the Design Center as supporters.....energy results.
When you join the Design Center your project succeeds because you ahve ideas, you know the problem, and you gather a like minded team. Your team becomes organized, strategies emerge, and then are implemented because of the Design Center's skills and experience.
Conventional problem solving in the United States requires a wealthy sponsor, or business, or a unit of government with access to resources, to be able to hire these same kinds of skills whuch you access through the Design Center.
For some organizers whose projects get funded, resources are granted because the organizer's needs get re-shaped to fit the criteria the funders are pleased by. Sometimes the original intent or need gets shaped right out of the project. Many, many times that results in wasted resources and the problems worsening.
Our model for project support engages participants in Tasks which engage other participants and business sponsors. The team members who endorse the project idea, back it up with monthly cash flow subscriptions. The subscribers are aligned with the values of the project sponsors. We do believe that by closing the disconnect between the project organizers and the funders, sustainable solutions are created with minimum waste or corruption of purposes.
When the funders and the sponsors are of the same mind, an environment which is safe for creative destruction, then invention, thrives. In such an environment created and sustained by the Design Center, independent thinking can nurture. Independent thinking frees actions which would have otherwise never launched. Actions driven by values in which people believe unleashes energy never before available. Such energy, when focused, can transform the bleakest circumstance to one filled with hope, and that hope enables dreams to be fulfilled.
As you think about bringing your project to the Design Center, be quizzing yourself about what businesses you can approach that want to let their customers know that your efforts are important to them. In this way, we learn which businesses should be, and are, important to us. Then, money gets spent based on an affinity for values, and not only because of convenience or lowest price.
Our skills will help you with approaching businesses for sponsorships, and getting them involved in what you are doing. Teaming, and finding and making partnerships, is one way we overcome a lack of capital. It is also how we build community, which benefits us all.
So the question put to us is: can we find businesses who want to support what we are doing? If you find them, we will give them a place of honor within the Design Center. They will gain exposure while expressing their brand of thinking and acting to the world.
